Unlike oscillating multi-tools and inferior detail sander models, the 1294VS uses a true orbital sanding action, similar to hand sanding action, which provides more-uniform results than arcing or pivoting motions. A variable-speed dial allows selection of the speed appropriate for the workpiece and task, and the low-vibration design is engineered for smooth running and operator comfort at all speeds. The unit’s dust port allows connection to a vacuum cleaner hose for through-the-pad collection for more-efficient sanding and a cleaner work environment.
